My life changed enormously in an instant in March 2019, even if it took a long time for me to fully appreciate the extent of some of that change. I have learned that by making a small difference to the welfare of others, I make I make a meaningful difference to my own sense of worth and wellbeing.
It is now my intention to make a difference to the lives of others, through helping them navigate complex change and challenges.
I believe that through creating safe spaces and a sense of belonging for people facing adversity I can help people achieve better results in their recovery. By providing a visible example of how the benefits of reaching for and embracing help can lead to better outcomes, I can encourage others to reach for, and embrace help. I can - even if in the smallest ways - make the world a better place for those people and the communities that support them.
It is my purpose to share my vulnerabilities and experiences using various mediums such as books, plays, coaching, speaking, and coaching programs. I will champion supportive communities and resources for those who have experienced traumatic injuries or life-altering events. I will help individuals bounce back stronger by fostering a sense of belonging, providing tools and support, and encouraging personal growth and resilience.
